How to Make Red, White and Blue Fruit Skewers
Here are the ingredients you need to make these red, white and blue fruit skewers, plus step by step instructions for how to make them.
Tools
- Star fruit cutter
- Food picks
Ingredients
- Watermelon
- Blueberry
- Mini marshmallow
- Blackberry
- Strawberry
Step by Step Instructions
1. Slice a watermelon into ¼-½ inch thick rounds. Use a small star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the slices.

2. Rinse strawberries and slice each one in half lengthwise. Choose firm, ripe strawberries so they hold their shape on the skewer.

3. On each skewer or wooden stick, thread the fruit in this order: start with a watermelon star at the top, followed by one blueberry, one mini marshmallow, one blackberry, and finish with a strawberry half. Angle the strawberry slightly so it lays flat and stays secure.

4. Arrange the fruit skewers on a serving platter. Keep chilled until ready to serve. For best results, assemble the same day they’ll be eaten.
