How to Make Caramel Apple Dip Board

Here are the ingredients you need to make this caramel apple dip board, plus step by step instructions for how to make it.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup caramel syrup (ice cream topping), plus extra for drizzling
  • 4 ounces cool whip
  • 4-5 apples
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped nuts
  • ¼ cup sprinkles
  • ¼ cup crushed pretzels
  • Optional: skewers, graham crackers, pretzels, lemon juice

Step by Step Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and brown sugar using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. This should only take about 30 seconds.

2. Pour in the vanilla extract and caramel syrup, then mix again on low speed until everything is well combined and silky.

3. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the dip is fluffy and fully incorporated.

5. While the dip chills, slice your apples. To help keep them from browning, soak the slices in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 cup of cold water for about 5 minutes, then drain and pat dry.

6. Place pretzels in a Ziploc bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Just roll back and forth like you’re rolling out dough until you have small crunchy pieces.
