Festive Christmas Pinwheels – Easy Make Ahead Holiday Appetizer

When I’m putting together appetizers for a holiday get-together, I always want something that looks festive but doesn’t take all day to make. These Christmas pinwheels are one of those easy wins.

They’re colorful, creamy, easy to make ahead, and the kind of snack people actually eat while chatting. I started making them a few years ago for a small Christmas party, and now they’ve become a regular request from family and friends – the perfect finger food for the holidays.

How to Make Christmas Pinwheels

Here are the ingredients you need to make these festive Christmas pinwheels, plus step by step instructions for how to make them.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz.) packages of cream cheese
  • 1 packet of ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, minced
  • 1/2 cup celery, minced
  • 1/4 cup orange bell pepper, minced
  • 1/4 cup green onion, sliced thin
  • 4 large spinach flour tortillas

Step by Step Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese and ranch seasoning until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

2. Add the minced bell peppers, celery, and sliced green onion, stirring until everything is evenly distributed.

3. Lay out the spinach tortillas and spread about one-quarter of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each one, reaching close to the edges.

4. Roll each tortilla up tightly, then wrap them individually in plastic wrap to help them hold their shape.

5. Refrigerate the wrapped rolls for about 2 hours to firm up.

6. When ready to serve, unwrap and slice each roll into ½- to ¾-inch pinwheels. Arrange on a platter and serve chilled.
