Step by Step Instructions

1. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

2. Gather all your ingredients to make assembly easier. Quarter the cheese slices, halve the cherry tomatoes, and set aside the lettuce and pickles so everything is ready to go.

3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, hamburger seasoning, garlic, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a spoon to mix until the ingredients are well incorporated, but don’t overwork the meat to keep it tender.

4. Roll the mixture into 16 evenly sized meatballs and place them on the baking sheet. Press down gently to flatten them slightly. This helps them cook evenly and gives them more of a mini burger shape. Bake for 10 minutes, or until fully cooked through.

5. Once the mini patties are out of the oven, immediately place a quarter slice of cheese on each one so it melts slightly from the residual heat. Then, layer on a small piece of lettuce, a pickle, and a cherry tomato half.
