Berry Blue Jello Cloud Mousse – Fun and Fluffy Treat

This Berry Blue Jello Cloud Mousse takes me right back to the kind of fun, easy desserts we used to make as kids – but with a little extra flair.

It only uses two ingredients: berry blue Jello and whipped topping. But something about the way they combine creates this super light, fluffy texture that’s really satisfying.

The bright blue color makes it perfect for parties, and kids especially think it’s the coolest thing ever. It’s also great for hot days, doesn’t weigh you down, and I like that it is low calorie without feeling like a “diet” dessert.

2. Pour 1 cup of water into a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Pour the hot water over the Jello powder. Use a whisk or spoon to stir the mixture for about 2-3 minutes, making sure the gelatin completely dissolves. You’ll know it’s ready when the liquid is smooth and clear, without any grainy texture.

3. Add 1 cup of cold water to the dissolved gelatin mixture and give it a quick stir. This helps cool down the mixture and sets the gelatin properly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator. Let it chill for at least 4 hours, or until the Jello is firm and completely set.

4. Once the Jello has set, it’s time to put together the mousse cups. Grab your serving cups. Spoon a layer of the gelatin into the bottom of each cup. Then, add a layer of whipped topping. Continue layering, alternating Jello and whipped topping, until you have 3-4 layers, finishing with whipped topping on top.

This mousse is as simple as it gets, but it never feels boring. You can serve it in little Jello cups with sprinkles on top, or layer it with fruit if you want to dress it up a bit. It holds up great in the fridge, so you can make it the night before and check dessert off your list early. It’s a solid pick for any kind of casual gathering – or honestly, just because it sounds good.
