Every Christmas, I like to make a few homemade treats to share with friends and neighbors, and these chocolate pecan turtle clusters are always a hit. They’re easy to throw together (just pecans, caramel, and melted chocolate), but they taste like something you’d buy from a candy shop.
Add a few sprinkles on top, and they fit right in with all the holiday cookies and fudge on the dessert table.

How to Make Christmas Chocolate Pecan Turtle Clusters
Here are the ingredients you need to make these festive chocolate pecan caramel clusters, plus step by step instructions for how to make them.
Ingredients
- 10 oz chocolate melting wafers
- ⅔ cup pecan halves
- ½ cup dulce de leche caramel
- 1 tbsp holiday sprinkles

Step by Step Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
2. Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each round, until smooth and fully melted.

3. Spoon small circles of melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each one.

4. Place 2-3 pecan halves on top of each chocolate circle, pressing them in slightly so they stick.

5. Warm the dulce de leche in the microwave for about 30 seconds to loosen it up, then add a small spoonful over the pecans.

7. Spoon a little more melted chocolate on top to cover the caramel and pecans, then finish with festive sprinkles.

8. Let the clusters set at room temperature for about an hour, or place them in the fridge to speed things up. Once firm, they’re ready to enjoy.

If you’re looking for something simple to make for gifting or snacking, these turtle clusters are a solid choice. I usually keep a small stash hidden away for myself because they disappear fast once everyone spots them. They’re the kind of treat that feels homemade without being a big project, and that’s my favorite kind of holiday recipe.
