- 16 oz sour cream
- 1 oz packet ranch seasoning mix
Start by adding 16 ounces of sour cream and the contents of a 1-ounce packet of ranch seasoning mix to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Use a spoon or spatula to stir the ingredients together, making sure the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout the sour cream. Take your time to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl so no clumps of seasoning are left behind.
Once the dip is fully mixed, cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the dip to an airtight container. Place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes. This step is important—it allows the flavors from the ranch seasoning to meld with the sour cream, making the dip taste even better. If you’re in a rush, a shorter chill time will work, but longer is ideal for best results.
