- 16.5 oz tube of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 2 small apples, peeled and diced into small pieces
- ⅔ cup caramel baking bits
- 1-2 tbsp caramel sauce for topping
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang for easy removal.
Peel the apples, remove the cores, and dice them into small, even pieces.
Press about ¾ of the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly set.
Remove from the oven. Evenly scatter the diced apples and caramel bits over the partially baked crust. Break the remaining cookie dough into small chunks and sprinkle them over the top.
Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the caramel is melted.
Let the bars cool completely in the pan. Drizzle with caramel sauce, then cut into squares for serving.
Serve and enjoy!
