Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 15 oz can chili no beans
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 green onions chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to preheat. This ensures the dip will bake evenly and come out perfectly hot and bubbly.
  • Rinse the green onions under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel, then chop them finely. Set aside as a fresh garnish for the final step.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, canned chili, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Use a spatula or wooden spoon to mix everything thoroughly until smooth and evenly combined. This creamy mixture forms the flavorful base of your dip.
  • Transfer the mixture into a baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula. A shallow dish works best for even heating and a nice presentation.
  • Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top of the chili-cream cheese mixture. This will create a golden, melty layer once baked.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese on top is fully melted, bubbly, and slightly golden around the edges. Keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking.
  • Once baked, carefully remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top for a burst of freshness, color, and flavor.
  • Serve the dip hot with a side of tortilla chips, crackers, or even fresh veggie sticks. This irresistible chili cheese dip is sure to be the star of your snack table!
