Ingredients

  • Various entertaining crackers, different sizes and flavors
  • Black olives
  • Green olives
  • Kosher Dill Petites
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Pistachios
  • Cranberries
  • Salami
  • Pepperoni
  • Monterey Jack cheese, cubed
  • Sharp cheddar cheese, cubed
  • Gruyere cheese, sliced and cut into a star shape
  • Blackberries
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs

Instructions

  • Set up your serving platter or board before you begin. If you want easier cleanup, line the surface with a sheet of parchment paper.
  • Start building the tree shape with the largest items. Create rows of crackers, making the bottom rows wider and gradually narrowing as you work toward the top. Add the pretzel sticks at the bottom to form the trunk, placing them vertically. Set the cheese star at the peak of the tree.
  • Next, layer in the medium-sized ingredients. Fold the salami and pepperoni for a little height, then add the cubed cheeses and cherry tomatoes in neat rows above the crackers.
  • Fill the remaining gaps with the smaller items. Lay the petite pickles horizontally so they don’t widen the tree shape, and scatter in the pistachios, olives, cranberries, and blackberries to complete the layout.
  • Make small adjustments as you go so everything fits the shape of your platter and stays balanced.
  • Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs along the edges of the tree to add color and a bit of structure.
  • Once everything is in place, bring it to the table and enjoy.

Notes

Storage:
For the best texture and freshness, store each item separately. Keep meats, cheeses, and any fruits or veggies in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Crackers and pretzels should be kept at room temperature in an airtight container, where they’ll stay crisp for about a week.
