Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 16 oz jar chunky salsa
  • ½ oz half packet taco seasoning
  • Flour tortillas
  • Toppings (we used cheese, tomatoes, and cilantro)

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the chicken so it’s fully coated.
  • Pour the salsa on top, covering the chicken completely.
  • Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours, or until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
  • Transfer the chicken to a plate or cutting board and shred, using two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir, until everything is well combined.
  • Spoon the salsa chicken into warm tortillas and add your favorite taco toppings before serving.
