Lil Smokies Tater Tot Bites

- 48 tater tots
- 12 Beef Lil Smokies
- 3 slices cheddar cheese
- 1-2 tbsp ketchup
- 1-2 tbsp mustard
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup mini muffin pan with nonstick spray or brush each cup with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
Cut each of the cheddar cheese slices into four equal squares. Set them aside for later.
Place 4 frozen tater tots into each muffin cup. Don’t worry about arranging them perfectly - they’ll soften and be shaped later.
Bake the tater tots in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, just until they start to soften and brown slightly.
Carefully remove the muffin pan from the oven. Using the back of a spoon (or a small shot glass), press the tater tots down and up the sides to form little tot "cups."
Place one quarter slice of cheddar cheese into the center of each tater tot cup. Then, place a Lil Smokie sausage right on top of the cheese.
Return the muffin pan to the oven and bake for another 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, the tots are golden and crisp, and the Lil Smokies are heated through.
Let cool for a couple of minutes. Then carefully remove each bite from the pan and drizzle with ketchup and mustard.
