Preheat your oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to keep the cookies from sticking.
Place the sugar cookie dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2-3 inches between each one. Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then move them to a wire rack. Allow them to cool completely, about 10 minutes, before decorating.
Cut each Mini Reese’s Cup in half to use for the snowmen hats.
In a small bowl, add the powdered sugar and stir in the milk a little at a time until you reach a thick icing consistency. The icing should be spreadable but not runny.
Work with 3 cookies at a time unless you have extra hands to help with decorating.
Spoon a small amount of icing onto the center of a cookie and spread it outward in an uneven circle. Remember, the snowmen are supposed to look melted.
Place half of a Reese’s Cup at the top of the cookie for the snowman’s hat.
Add two mini chocolate chips, point-side down, just under the hat to make the eyes.
Place one orange sprinkle below the eyes to create the nose.
Add two Mini M&Ms under the nose to make buttons.
Let the cookies sit until the icing firms up completely, about 20-30 minutes, before serving or packaging.
