Here are the ingredients you need to make these Crockpot salsa chicken tacos, plus step by step instructions for how to make them.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 16 oz jar chunky salsa
- ½ oz (half packet) taco seasoning
- Flour tortillas
- Toppings (we used cheese, tomatoes, and cilantro)

Step by Step Instructions
1. Place the chicken breasts in an even layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.

2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the chicken so it’s fully coated.

3. Pour the salsa on top, covering the chicken completely.

4. Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours, or until the chicken is tender and easy to shred.
5. Transfer the chicken to a plate or cutting board and shred, using two forks.

6. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir, until everything is well combined.

7. Spoon the salsa chicken into warm tortillas and add your favorite taco toppings before serving.
