- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ tsp Onion powder
- 15 oz Tomato sauce
- 14.5 oz Petite Diced tomatoes
- 1 lb medium shells pasta noodles
Finely chop the onion and set it aside.
Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, and seasonings. Cook until the beef is fully browned and the onion has softened, breaking the meat into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess grease if needed.
Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, uncooked pasta, and beef broth. Mix everything well so the pasta is evenly coated. Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, cover the skillet and reduce the heat to a steady simmer. Cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
Stir in the cheese until melted and creamy.
Serve warm.
